NIOC (Tehran) _ Iran's Central Insurance managing director announced that domestic insurance companies are going to put international oil tankers under the insurance. Mohammad Karimi, during a news conference held on Monday claimed that all the illegal sanctions against Iran's insurance policy is vein and the domestic insurance companies have insured international oil tankers and ships carrying petrochemical products, through high standards.
Pointing to the P & I insurance, Karimi said that this works as an insurance club and it possesses a consortium of internal companies which insure Iranian tankers. He also added that the exerted sanctions were not only beneficial in such a way that they made the insurance policy of the country to take a huge remarkable step forward, but also had a quite satisfactory performance regarding the insurance of refineries and power plants. Karimi called this act of "The sign of peace and friendship".
Karimi also asserted that, U.S. sanctions against Iran in the previous year, save nearly 700 million dollars.
